$1.3B deal brings Keebler, Girl Scout cookies to N.J. snack company

A New Jersey snack company is making some tasty additions to its already-delicious assortment of treats.

Kellogg Company announced Monday that is has reached an agreement to sell many of its cookie brands, including Keebler, Famous Amos and Girl Scout cookies, to Parsippany-based Ferrero Group for $1.3 billion.

Ferrero, which makes Nutella, Tic Tacs and Ferrero Rocher chocolates, would also own Kellogg’s fruit and fruit-flavored snacks, pie crusts and ice cream cone businesses, Kellogg said.
