$30M judgment upheld for sleeping driver in Greyhound crash

An appeals court on Thursday upheld a $30 million judgment against Greyhound Lines to a bus passenger hurt in a 2013 crash along a Pennsylvania highway after the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

A Cuyahoga County jury in 2016 awarded more than $27 million to Cleveland music store owner Mark Soberay, who was one of 43 passengers injured during a trip from New York City to Cleveland. One of the passengers, a 37-year-old tourist from Vietnam, died in the crash.
