Arkansas Sues Opioid Distributors

Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge filed a lawsuit against major opioid distributors including Cardinal Health, McKesson Corp., and AmerisourceBergen Drug Corp.

This lawsuit follows another lawsuit by Arkansas, suing Purdue Pharma, Johnson & Johnson, and Endo.

The lawsuit claims that the distributors violated Arkansas’s Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

The state claims that the opioid distributors used data to find patterns of improper distribution to evaluate sales.

Rutledge claims pharmacies and doctors, the last two links on the chain of liability could be the next to be sued, and is not ruling them out just yet.
