Comcast and one of their cable installation contractors, O.C. Communications, have agreed to a $7.5 million settlement to resolve a lawsuit lodged by 4,500 technicians and workers.
This California wage and hour lawsuit alleged that Comcast and O.C. Communications violated workplace regulations and protections instituted by California labor laws and the Fair Labor Standards Act. The workers claim in their class-action lawsuit that they were not appropriately compensated for their regular hours worked, as well as their overtime hours. They additionally claim that they were denied proper rest and lunch breaks.
