Faulty Truck Wheel That Killed Maine Police Detective Could Have Been Prevented

A proper inspection could have caught the faulty tires that struck and killed Detective Ben Campbell, said Col. John Cote.

Campbell was killed April 3 on Interstate 95 in Hampden when he was struck by one of two wheels that detached from the passing logging truck while he was helping a stopped driver.
