Georgia Attorney General Carr Seeks Justice Amid Opioid Crisis

Attorney General Chris Carr claims that the opioid epidemic has swept the state, and no Georgia community is stranger to its’ devastating effects.

Carr explained that the opioid crisis did not occur by coincidence, but was fueled by unlawful actions of the defendant drugmakers. 

The complaint filed by the state claims that drugmakers paid key opinion leaders in the medical community to promote their pills while appearing unbiased.

Carr announced that the state will utilize every available resource to fight the opioid crisis, and seek justice for the citizens of Georgia.
