Hung jury in case of No More Deaths volunteer

The judge in the human-trafficking trial against Scott Warren, a humanitarian-aid volunteer charged with harboring two undocumented immigrants in southwestern Arizona, declared a hung jury in the high-profile case. 

Warren, a volunteer with the group No More Deaths, faced up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted of three charges against him. He was accused of conspiring to transport two undocumented immigrants, and of harboring them for several days in January 2018 in Ajo, Arizona. All Warren did was offer food, water and shelter to the two migrants who unexpectedly showed up.
