Jury deliberating fate of man accused of stabbing his wife nearly 90 times

Attorneys presented closing arguments Thursday in murder trial of Jeremiah E. Monell and a Cumberland County jury is now weighing the evidence.

Monell, 34, is accused of killing his estranged wife, Tara O’Shea-Watson, in the woman’s Commercial Township mobile home.

She suffered nearly 90 stab wounds to her neck, chest and stomach in the Dec. 18, 2016, attack.

Monell’s “palm print in blood” was found on one of the knives, prosecutors said.
