Man acquitted in 2017 quadruple shooting

Authorities said he got into a physical dispute with his daughter’s mother, and she called relatives who along with friends confronted Kennedy. Prosecutors said Kennedy pulled a gun and opened fire, killing one man and wounding three others.
Kennedy rejected a plea deal calling for a 17½- to 34-year sentence. Prosecutors argued at trial that the eight to 10 shots fired was too much for self-defense. Kennedy took the stand and testified that he fired repeatedly because he believed he would be killed otherwise.
