Ohio AG Seeks to Shut Down Opioid Bellwether Trial

Ohio’s Attorney General, David Yost feels as if Ohio citizens could be disadvantaged in the state trial if Ohio counties Cuyahoga and Summit go to trial next month in Cleveland. 

The counties claim they have spent billions dealing with the impact of the opioid epidemic and have spend two years holding defendants accountable through the court system.

Yost however believes that the liability of the opioid manufacturers, distributors and retailers should be determined on a state-wide basis because the opioid impact is state-wide and not limited to individual counties.
