Parents File a Discrimination Lawsuit Against an Alabama Daycare

Aletta and Lee Williamson said they want to see Heritage Preschools held accountable.

The couple said they wanted a Christian experience for their son that they can’t get in public schools. They enrolled him at Heritage Preschool in Homewood in 2021 when he was 2 months old. Their eldest son had a good experience and graduated from the school. They said after leadership changes, their experience last year was not the same.

The Williamsons said it haunts them every day. They believe their child was expelled from Heritage Preschool in Homewood because he’s Black.
