City of Yonkers, NY Settles a Lawsuit Over a 2015 Fatal Police Chase for $1.5 Million

The City of Yonkers will pay $1.5 million to the estate of a woman who was killed during a high-speed police chase in 2015.

The City Council approved the settlement this week.

Police were chasing a stolen van on Warburton Avenue when the teenage driver crossed the double yellow line and drove the wrong way before colliding head on with a car driven by 46-year-old Sharlene Stinson.
