16 States Sue Trump Admin, Alleging Illegal Undermining of the Federal Fair Housing Act and Fair Housing Assistance Program

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is joining a coalition of 16 other attorneys general in challenging the federal government’s policies on housing.

The coalition filed a lawsuit challenging “unlawful” actions by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The coalition cites threats to withhold funding and imposition of “illegal” conditions tied to HUD money as reasons for the suit.
