16-Year-Old Charged with Murdering Family in West Virginia
A child has been charged with murdering two adults and two children in West Virginia.
On Sunday morning a man, his wife, and their three and 12-year-old sons were found dead suffering gunshot wounds by a relative around 10.40am on Sunday in their home on Cemetery Hill Drive in Elkview.
The relative had tried to get in contact with the family-of-five on Saturday and went to their house on Sunday to check in after they didn’t hear back.
They found the front door unlocked and the dead bodies inside and called the police.
The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said a fifth resident of the house, a 16-year-old male family member, was found safely elsewhere.
Deputies then announced Sunday night a juvenile has been charged with four counts of murder in connection to the incident, but did not give their age, and did not clarify if it was a 16-year-old from the home.
