A Jury Awards Victims of an Oklahoma Canal Electrocution Incident $8 Million
A jury has awarded millions to the victims in a 2018 incident in which a man was shocked in the Bricktown Canal when he tried to save a man who would ultimately die from electrocution.
Brandon Gann was the one who attempted to save 23-year-old Wesley Seeley on Sept. 30, 2018.
Seeley had leaned against one of the canal’s light bollards. The light fixture gave way and Seeley fell into the canal with it. The light fixture’s wiring charged the water and Seely was electrocuted.
