Adult Film Star Ron Jeremy Is Indicted on More Than 30 Sexual Assault Charges
Ron Jeremy is accused of sexually assaulting 21 women—ranging in age from 15 to 51—over more than two decades, beginning in 1996 when prosecutors allege that he raped a 19-year-old woman during a photo shoot in the San Fernando Valley.
Porn star Ron Jeremy has been indicted on more than 30 counts of sexual assault involving 21 victims spanning more than two decades, including one who was just 15 years old at the time of the alleged assault.
Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced the charges against Ron Jeremy—whose full name is Ron Jeremy Hyatt—in a statement Wednesday after a grand jury returned an indictment earlier this month against the former porn star. Jeremy made a name for himself in the 1980s and 1990s playing an every man of sorts in the adult film industry.
Jeremy is facing 12 counts of forcible rape, seven counts of forcible oral copulation, six counts of sexual battery by restraint, four counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object, two counts of sexual penetration of an unconscious or asleep person and one count each of lewd act upon a child under the age of 14 or 15, sodomy by use of force and assault with intent to commit rape.
