Akili McDowell is Being Charged with Murder in Houston, TX

Akili McDowell, known for his title role in David Makes Man, has been arrested and charged with murder in Houston, TX, in the shooting death of a man last month in an apartment complex parking lot.

The 21-year-old McDowell was arrested and booked on August 1 on charges of murder and theft, according to Harris County Sheriff’s Office online records. He has a court appearance Tuesday on the theft charge and on October 9 for the murder charge.
