Pennsylvania Man Whose Previous Case Went to the United States Supreme Court Found Guilty of Cyber Stalking Ex-Wife and Ex-Girlfriend

A 39-year-old former Bethlehem area man, whose previous threats case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, was convicted last week in federal court on three counts of cyber stalking, records show.

Anthony Douglas Elonis, who claimed his previous threats on Facebook to shoot up a kindergarten and harm his ex-wife and an FBI agent were actually rap lyrics under the persona “Tone Dougie,” was found guilty by a jury on Friday after a five-day trail in Philadelphia on the new charges.

He was convicted in 2011 of four of five counts of making terroristic threats. His post threatening to blow up Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom was too vague to be taken seriously, jurors said at the time.
