Amway to Pay $225 Million to Settle Allegations of “Deceptive Tactics”

Amway and two of its recruiting affiliates have agreed to pay $225 million to settle allegations of “deceptive tactics,” court documents show.

The Federal Trade Commission and state of Washington filed a complaint in U.S. District Court against Amway, World Wide Group and Leadership Team Development. The latter two groups recruit people into Amway and provide training.
