Appeals Court Sides With Jeff Koons in Years-Long Copyright-Infringement Dispute Related to ‘Made in Heaven’ Series

A U.S. appeals court on Tuesday upheld a ruling in favor of pop artist Jeff Koons in a copyright dispute with a sculptor who ​had accused Koons of using his sculpture without permission in a ‌1989 series of artworks.

The Manhattan-based 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a lower court’s ruling, opens new tab that Michael Hayden waited too long to sue Koons.
