Arcwood Environmental Expands Platform With Environmental Management Services, Inc. Acquisition

Arcwood Environmental has acquired Environmental Management Services, Inc. (EMSI), a Rockville, Maryland-based environmental services company specializing in hazardous and biological (regulated medical waste) waste management, emergency response, and environmental compliance and safety services. The transaction marks Arcwood’s sixth acquisition in less than two years as the company continues to expand its environmental services platform through strategic growth.

Founded in 1989, EMSI employs 42 people and serves healthcare systems, pharmaceutical manufacturers, government agencies, educational institutions, and industrial organizations.
