Ye and Donda Academy Seek Dismissal of Former Employee’s Labor Lawsuit

Ye and his Donda Academy are seeking the dismissal of a lawsuit filed by a former employee. The employee claims breach of contract and violations of the state Labor Code.

In their court papers filed with Judge Christopher K. Lui of Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, the attorneys for the 46-year-old rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, present several defenses. They argue that the plaintiff, Isaiah Meadows, is barred from filing his causes of action, either wholly or partially, due to the statute of limitations.

Furthermore, Ye’s lawyers assert that Meadows “implicitly endorsed the alleged misconduct he now complains about through his actions, conduct, or omissions.”
