Black Flight Attendant Sues, Claims Spirit Airlines Fired Her for Being Overweight

According to court documents, a Spirit Airlines flight attendant claims that she was wrongfully terminated.

Chelsia BLACKMON’S attorney stated in the lawsuit that her client was fired due to being too overweight for Spirit’s Airbus plane.

Blackmon, an African-American, claimed that the airline discriminated against him because he was not offered the same treatment as his white colleague who couldn’t “fit” in the jump seats.
