Boston Health Firm Cuts Workforce in Half Due to USAID Funding Freeze

In what the company is describing as a “difficult decision,” a Boston-based global public health firm has announced that it will be laying off nearly half of its staff.
In a statement shared by John Snow Inc., the firm announced that they’ve “made the difficult decision to lay off nearly 50% (approximately 1100) of our dedicated and talented staff members across our U.S. and international programs.”
