California Republicans Request Supreme Court Block Democratic-Favored House Map

California Republicans are requesting the Supreme Court block a new Democratic-favored House map from going into effect ahead of the November elections.

The California GOP is appealing a decision made by a lower court last week that blocked Republicans’ bid to stop a new set of congressional lines from being put in place for the midterms. The map, which was approved by voters in November, would offer Democrats up to five pickup opportunities.
