Victims of a Tractor-Trailer Collision Win $1.16 Million

Three plaintiffs were injured in a tractor-trailer lane collision, where one required a single level cervical fusion.
The defense attempted to allege the accident was intentional through an expert, however, defense did not provide a scintilla of evidence, and the trial court excluded any all statements. Defendants attempted to show this was a minor impact, however, their own medical expert admitted he did not rely on force of impact.
The jury answered that Moore was a cause or contributed to each of the plaintiffs’ injuries and the jury did not find any comparative fault.
This case against Lovorn Trucking, LLC resulted in a verdict of $1,163,000. The plaintiffs were represented by Vanessa Motta of Motta Law, LLC in New Orleans, LA.
