Cheerwine Bottling Co. Sued by EEOC for Alleged Disability Discrimination

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is suing an iconic North Carolina brand over allegations of disability discrimination.

According to a release from the EEOC, the commission is suing Piedmont Cheerwine Bottling Company on behalf of a former employee for allegedly discriminating against her, requiring her to undergo a medical examination and then firing her because her disability causes her to walk with a limp.
