City of Buffalo NY to Pay $6M Settlement to Estate of Firefighter Killed in Line of Duty

The City of Buffalo has agreed to pay nearly $6 million to Jason Arno’s estate, according to 2 On Your Side’s Chelsea Swift.

Jason Arno was a Buffalo firefighter who died in the line of duty during a massive fire at 745 Main St., in March of 2023. He was killed by smoke inhalation and thermal injuries while trapped inside the burning DC Theatricks building.
