C&S Wholesale Grocers Aquire Michigan Based Wholesale Food Distributor in $1.77B Deal

A Michigan-based wholesale food distributor is being acquired by C&S Wholesale Grocers, the company announced Monday.
SpartanNash, headquartered in Byron Center, entered into a definitive merger agreement where C&S Wholesale Grocers will acquire SpartanNash for a purchase price of $26.90 per share of SpartanNash common stock in cash. The sale will equate to $1.77 billion between the stock purchase and acquisition of SpartanNash’s assumed net debt.
