Democratic National Committee Sues Trump Admin for Any Plan to Deploy Federal Agents at Election Sites

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) sued the Trump administration on Tuesday, alleging that several agencies failed to adequately respond to Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests pertaining to any plans to deploy federal agents at election sites.
The lawsuit alleges that the DNC sent close to a dozen FOIA requests to the Justice Department (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Defense Department (DOD) in October “concerning potential deployment of federal agents and troops to polling places, drop boxes, and election offices.”
