Democratic States Sue to Block Trump Admin Deal to Cancel Wind Lease in Exchange for Oil Investments

Seven blue states have sued in an effort to block a Trump administration deal to pay a French company to invest in fossil fuels in exchange for the cancellation of its rights to build offshore wind farms.
New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island and Vermont sued the Trump administration, seeking to reverse its move to cancel TotalEnergies’s offshore wind lease.
