Donald Trump Appeals $83.3 Million Award in E. Jean Carroll Defamation Case
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump on Friday (Mar 8) appealed a US jury decision to award $83.3 million to writer E Jean Carroll in a defamation suit.
The 80-year-old columnist filed a defamation case against the former US president after he branded her a liar following her accusations of rape.
In his appeal to the 2nd US Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, Trump said he would cover “all adverse orders, rulings, decrees, decisions, opinions, memoranda, conclusions, or findings” leading to the January 26 verdict.
