Dr. Marten’s, Levi’s, and Other Major Brands Accuse Shein of Copyright Infringement

Shein has been accused of trademark infringement.

Multiple well known brands have accused the newly popular fashion app of selling “counterfeit” goods based on their own due to the stark similarity between many of the products, which are available to buy on Shein for considerably low prices.
According to the Financial Times, the company has been hit with trademark infringement claims from Dr Martens, Levi’s, and others claiming that the Chinese brand has been selling “counterfeit” items on its website.

Court documents show that the former said that Shein has a “clear intent to sell counterfeits”, referencing a product for sale on the app aptly named the ‘Marten Boot.’
