Fauci Urges American to do ‘Risk-Benefit Assessment’ before Thanksgiving Celebrations

Dr. Anthony Fauci on Sunday urged Americans to weigh the risks and “make their own decision” before getting together for Thanksgiving amid climbing numbers of COVID-19 cases in the nation.
“I think the people in this country need to realistically do a risk-benefit assessment,” Fauci told NBC anchor Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press.”
The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said that families need to consider who would be at the table for the holiday meal and whether those guests are high-risk for coming down with a serious case of the virus.
“Every family is different. Everyone has a different level of risk that they want to tolerate,” Fauci said.
