The House panel investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol painted a portrait of a White House in post-election chaos at its latest hearing on Tuesday before closing with a bombshell: Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) saying former President Trump had tried to call a witness set to appear at a future hearing.
