Florida Man Charged in Wife’s Murder After Telling the Police She’s ‘Swimming With the Fishes’

A Florida man accused of murdering his wife and burying her in his backyard had allegedly tried to throw cops off his trail by telling them she’s “swimming with the fishes.”

When 45-year-old Mary Stella Gomez Mullet went missing in Palm Beach County on Feb. 22, husband Roberto Colon, 66, admitted he’d had a fight with her.

But he claimed to have nothing to do with her disappearance — even when investigators found blood on his front door and inside his garage.

Gomez Mullet is “swimming with the fishes,” the husband allegedly yelled at investigators as they left his house, urging them to “find the body, find the body,” WPEC reported.
