Former Employee Sues Ohio Treatment Center for Alleged Whistleblower Retaliation
A former employee at the Western Ohio Regional Treatment and Habilitation Center in Allen County — more commonly known as the WORTH Center — has filed a lawsuit in the United States Northern District Court in Toledo alleging he was the subject of whistle-blower retaliation.
Brad Dietrich, Jr. also alleges in his suit that WORTH Center Director Brent Burk and others were responsible for his firing from the community-based correctional facility due to his sexual orientation.
In the complaint filed in federal court earlier this month, Dietrich said he was fired after he wrote a letter to the center’s board of directors that detailed Burk’s alleged “abuse of power and misuse of resources.”
