Former FedEx Employee Suing for Alleged Racial Discrimination

A former employee of the FedEx Corporation is bringing a lawsuit against the company for alleged racial discrimination. According to court documents, Barbara Blake, the former employee, began working for FedEx in 1997.

She briefly left the company in 2001 and was later rehired in 2004 as a security officer; Blake worked as a security officer until 2024, when she was fired. Blake claims that when she was terminated, she was let go without any warning or written notice.

On December 23, 2021, before her firing, Blake informed her manager that a non-Black co-worker was making offensive racial comments in her presence and other Black co-workers.
