Former Topeka Employee of Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC, Sues for Termination After Injury

A former employee of the Topeka plant for Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC, said in a lawsuit filed last week that after he was injured working there, it cut his pay from $20 an hour to $7.25 an hour, then terminated him.
Attorneys representing Jason R. Lawrence filed the suit April 25. It alleges one count each of discrimination on the basis of disability and retaliation for engaging in protected activity and suffering a work-related injury.
