Formula 1 Agrees to Settle Lawsuit Over Allegedly Sharing Subscribers’ Information Without Consent

If you watch Formula 1 highlights online, you may be entitled to a piece of a $5.5 million class action settlement. 

Formula 1 has agreed to settle a lawsuit accusing the company of sharing subscribers’ information without consent, according to the official website for the settlement. Formula 1 denies breaking the law. 

Anyone with a Formula 1 account who watched pre-recorded videos on F1’s website or app between May 21, 2022 and June 24, 2025, is eligible for the settlement. Claimants can get up to $17 in cash, according to the settlement agreement.
