Georgia Man Shot by Deputy During Arrest Has Murder Charges Dropped After Being Acquitted of Assaulting Deputy

A Macon man accused of pointing a gun at deputies trying to arrest him on murder charges was found not guilty, and his murder charges were dropped by prosecutors just before trial.

According to court records, Anthony Baldwin Jr. was found not guilty last Wednesday after being accused of assaulting a deputy on Felton Avenue back in 2023. Baldwin was shot by deputies during his arrest.
