Here’s How Senators Voted During Trump’s Second Impeachment Trial

House impeachment managers needed to convince 17 Republicans to join all Democrats to impeach the president. In the end, seven Republicans joined Democrats, meaning Trump was acquitted of inciting insurrectionists to attack the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Six Republican senators voted this week that the impeachment trial is constitutional, essentially breaking with 44 other Republicans. But a total of seven senators – Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, and Bill Cassidy of Louisiana – voted to convict the former president.
