Jaguar Partners with United Airlines to Bring EVs to Connecting Flights
United Airlines is partnering with vehicle company Jaguar to provide gate-to-gate transfers to connecting flights using electric vehicles, the first electric-powered airport transfer service in the United States.
Jaguar Land Rover North America announced in a statement on Wednesday that elite loyalty members will be able to get to their flights in a Jaguar I-PACE, the company’s first all-electric SUV.
Vehicles are set to be in service at various United Airlines hubs, such as Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Newark/New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. They will be expected to make approximately 60 trips and serve over 1,000 United customers per day.
