Lawsuit Claims That a Paint Company Forced Older New Jersey Workers Out of Their Jobs

A former flooring specialist for Rust-Oleum in New Jersey has filed a discrimination lawsuit against the paint company, claiming he and other workers in their mid-sixties were forced out of their jobs due to their age.
John Negri, 64, of Blairstown, states in court papers he worked for 22 years selling and installing industrial flooring systems until he was terminated from Rust-Oleum last year.
“Since plaintiff’s termination, upon understanding and belief, his former title and/or job duties have been taken over by a younger employee with less experience,” alleges the lawsuit, filed Jan. 4 in Superior Court of Warren County.
