Lourdes University Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy in Institutions Plan to Wind Down Operations

Lourdes University has filed for Chapter 11 protection as the northwest Ohio education institution moves forward with plans to wind down operations.

The university filed a voluntary petition Monday under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Lourdes had announced earlier this year that it planned to shut down operations at the end of the school year, citing financial pressure and declining enrollment.
