Man Charged for Setting Pregnant Woman on Fire
(KUTV) — The man accused of setting a pregnant woman on fire at a Murray motel last month has been charged with a first-degree felony: attempted aggravated murder.
Court documents state 45-year-old Andrew Todd Curtis, of Moab, Utah, was charged in Salt Lake City’s Third District Court on Oct. 30.
At approximately 3 a.m. on Oct. 22, Curtis reportedly poured an accelerant on the 34-year-old woman at the Studio Six motel, located at 975 E. 6600 South
He then set her on fire on the unit’s patio, according to Murray police. Witnesses saw and heard the incident, and called 911.
