Fairfax County School Board Member Kyle McDaniel sued for $525,000

Responsible for making decisions about Fairfax County Public Schools’ $4 billion budget, a county school board member has been sued for $525,000 over embezzlement charges by the Northern Virginia flight school he helped found. 

Kyle McDaniel has been an at-large member of the Fairfax County School Board since January 2024. McDaniel is among three at-large members elected to appropriate funds for the county’s 180,000 public school students.
