McSherrystown Woman Charged with Felony for Assaulting Officers

A McSherrystown woman is facing felony assault charges after police allege she kicked and bit police officers who were taking her into custody following a field sobriety test, according to court documents.
Maria Florio, 40, of McSherrystown, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, along with misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, DUI, and summary counts of public drunkenness and harassment, according to charging documents filed by the Hanover Borough Police Department on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025.
