New Hampshire Medical Center to Pay a $2 Million Settlement for Drug Violations

Cheshire Medical Center will pay $2 million after an investigation found it lost track of powerful drugs, including opioids such as fentanyl.

U.S. Attorney Jane Young said Cheshire Medical Center lost track of large amounts of controlled substances.

A Drug Enforcement Administration investigation was launched last year after the hospital reported that a nurse had stolen IV bags filled with fentanyl solution.
