Pennsylvania Jury Orders Hospital to Pay $1.3M to Settle Malpractice Lawsuit
A Berks County jury has ordered Reading Hospital to pay $1.3 million to a former patient who sued the hospital for medical malpractice.
The jury on Friday found the hospital liable for failing to diagnose and treat a carotid dissection suffered by Kathryn Dailey of West Reading in 2016, according to court records.
The hospital was negligent in her care, which led to subsequent injuries, the lawsuit stated.
The hospital and its owner, Tower Health, had no comment regarding the verdict or the lawsuit.
